The Overwatch World Cup bracket for the final eight teams of the tournament was drawn recently after the Overwatch Contenders match. The final eight nations will go head to head for the ultimate prize.
The four matchups decided for the eight nations are as follows:
- The United Kingdom vs. Sweden
- Canada vs. Australia
- China vs. France
- South Korea vs. the United States
Of the above matches, the South Korea Vs. United States match looks particularly interesting since they are the two powerhouses this season. This will also serve as a rematch of last year’s quarterfinal, where South Korea did not earn a convincing win.
The big event will play out in a single elimination, best-of-five format and the loser of the semifinals will meet in a third place decider match. The event will take place at BlizzCon later this year on November 3 and 4. Moving on, the grand final will take place at the final night of the convention. Every player in a team will be awarded $1,500 and will receive another $1,500 for making it to the playoffs.
